This Ford engine mount carries about half the weight of the powertrain and must counteract forces and movements in all directions.
The standard mount does an acceptable job of controlling engine motion and isolating the chassis from noise and vibration under "normal" driving conditions.
However, with a tuned engine and/or high performance driving conditions, more control over engine movement is required.
Installing FOR244M significantly reduces vertical and lateral motor movement, and the rubber section still provides some isolation from noise and vibration.
It also offers far superior comfort and isolation from engine vibration over inferior aftermarket urethane mounts.
The bearing is a 1:1 replacement for the Ford OE bracket and comes with a new center nut and should be fitted with thread lock.
We recommend using this bracket with the FOR239M or FOR227M right bracket and FOR224B torque arm.
